My therapy practice is focused on individuals from all walks of life- those who struggle with mental health issues, and those who feel stuck, and want to move forward, or simply choose another path.
My goal is to participate in their journey toward inner peace and balance, by providing guidance, hope, and validation. My special interests are teens and adults- including the LGBTQ+ community, BPOC who are dealing with substance abuse, mood disorders, trauma, PTSD, grief, and peri- or post-partum depression. I use Cognitive Behavioral therapy, Mindfulness, and existential approaches.
My own background- bilingual and bi-cultural- enables me to provide therapy in both English and Spanish. I am particularly sensitive to the challenges and advantages facing individuals and families who have come from other countries to live in the U.S.
I received a Master's degree in Community Counseling from Marymount University in 2004, and have been a Licensed Professional Counselor since 2007.
My 15 +years of experience include work for Fairfax County Community Services Board, the Fairfax County Health Department, and private practice.
